Laura Seiler Birth Doula

About Me

birth-doula-certified-badge.png

Hi! I’m Laura, a mom, wife, friend and most importantly a follower of Jesus.

I am a certified birth doula serving families across the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland.

My passion for birth began after the caesarean birth of my first son. The more I learned, the more deeply I fell in love with the process of labour and birth. In 2023, I experienced a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean) with my second son — the most empowering moment of my life.

This journey shaped the way I support families today.
My heart and my goal are to ensure that every person involved in the birth feels seen, valued, and loved.

I’m honoured to walk alongside you and look forward to learning more about your story and your journey.

About

Julia

Having Laura at my birth was the greatest gift! She was so tender and present. She helped make my young daughters feel helpful and confident during my contractions and yet my husbands role as my main support didn't shift.

I would highly recommend Laura to any pregnant mamas I know, invest in your births!

Annoymous

I am a first time mom. During pregnancy I was anxious about a lot of things but I was extremely anxious about labour. I cannot thank Laura enough for her coaching, support, words of wisdom and her constant care. Everytime we spoke I felt stronger and empowered. Ready to meet my little one! Looking back on my labour experience, I had a lot of support from my loved ones and the medical team but Laura was such a key factor in my experience and I couldn't have done it without her. I definitely want her with me for my next birth.

Forever grateful for my doula Laura and the love, care, and calm energy she brought into my birth experience. She was by my side through every moment, helping me feel strong, safe, and supported.

I truly can't imagine going through it without her.

FAQ

What's the difference between a birth doula and a midwife?

Why hire a birth doula?

Midwives are medical  providers meaning they monitor your health and baby’s health, perform medical exams and deliver baby. Doulas provide non-medical support. We focus on your comfort, confidence, and emotional wellbeing through pregnancy, labour, and postpartum.

Often families choose doulas for continuous support, reduced stress, comfort measures, and guidance in understanding their options.

As a doula, my goal is to enhance your partners support. I do not replace the support.

you deserve a birth doula.
